Strawberry legs are small black spots on your skin that resemble strawberry seeds. Also known as open comedones, these appear when the enlarged pores or hair follicles get trapped with a mixture of bacteria, dead skin cells, and oil. After shaving, the air gets to the oil trapped inside and turns dark after oxidizing. Here are five natural home remedies for strawberry legs.

Baking soda

Packed with antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, baking soda is a great natural remedy to treat strawberry legs. It treats dry skin and exfoliates the skin on your legs making it soft, radiant, and smooth. Mix one tablespoon of baking soda with one tablespoon of water and apply it to the affected areas. Leave it on for four-five minutes and wash off with cold water.

We all are aware of the anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties of aloe vera. It moisturizes your skin and heals skin irritations in no time. If you are suffering from strawberry legs, use aloe vera daily to nourish your skin and reduce the dark spots. Apply fresh aloe gel on your legs and massage for two minutes. Wait for 10 minutes before rinsing it off.

Brown sugar and olive oil mix

Sugar is a great exfoliating agent while olive oil keeps your skin hydrated. Exfoliation helps to remove dead skin cells and bacteria that are trapped on the skin's topmost layer and reveals smooth and radiant skin. Mix brown sugar with olive oil and rub this mixture on your legs in a circular motion for a few minutes. Then rinse it off with cold water.

High in essential minerals like sodium, potassium, magnesium, and calcium, sea salt is also great for exfoliating your skin and eliminating dead skin cells. It restores the body's mineral balance and prevents skin irritation and dryness. Mix sea salt with some coconut oil and scrub it gently on your skin for two minutes before rinsing it off. You can use this twice a week.

Tea tree oil and jojoba oil mix

Tea tree and jojoba oil work wonders for your skin due to their anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties. These oils are effective in treating, dry, dull, and irritated skin. Mix one tablespoon of jojoba oil with two-three drops of tea tree oil and massage it on your legs. Wait for five-10 minutes and then wash off with water. You can use this daily before sleeping.
